ANZAC Day Ouiz

This week we're excited to announce that it will be our first trans-Tasman chat. The topic this week is Anzac, which is fitting as it's very important to both Australia and New Zealand.

Q5. Do you think ANZAC day is important? Should we celebrate the day? How else could ANZAC Day be celebrated? yes we should celebrate AZNAC day. 

Q6. During Gallipoli, Australia and NZ fought side by side. Do you think the relationship between the 2 countries is important? Yes

Q7. Why are poppies sold before and on Anzac Day? Why was the poppy chosen and what does it represent??????

Q8. How did the Anzac biscuit originate? Do you have a favourite Anzac biscuit recipe that you would like to share?No

1) Why do you think that the boys lied about their age to get into the army? Because they wanted to have fun.

2) Why do you think the soldiers dug trenches along the front line? Because they wanted to hide.

3) Stan remembered feeling like 'gun fodder' in a battle that was hopeless from the start. What do you think that sentence means? cause he got shot in the back

4) Why do you think he had nightmares even after he came home from the war? Because he was hurt and he thought he it could get worst.

The Annoying Mysterious Cave

Purpose: To tell about an experience from camp, using short sentences to create suspense.

WALT: Entertain (recount)

Task: To write a recount based on something scary or suspenseful that happened to you.

The Annoying Mysterious Cave!!!
We had to write a story about camp and
I chose caving. The red mean's I have added something on.

Draft 1

We were in the car and I was really scared. We finally got there, I was shivering like a ice-block. I had to find things like 100 year old tree  lake. Our group past the tree and a lake. We were at the cave, we had our touch’s and we went in. I was still shivering. Then I wasn’t scared because we had our bight touch, they were as bight as a glow-worm. Then awwwwwwwwwo I bang my head. Then we got to the end and we went back. Then only the kid’s went if they wanted to. Then the kid’s came back out, if you wanted to you could go in the dark with no touch’s, but on the way back the went in the light. It was so fun. Then we went back in the car.

Success Criteria:

What was challenging for me. When I was swimming it was hard to hold my breath. I think I could work on holding breath.
 
This is swimming sport's and it was really fun because I came 2nd and 3rd.
